Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould has released "Hey Mr. Grey" from his upcoming album, Beauty & Ruin, available June 3rd through Merge Records.

Mould doesn't waste a minute on the track, completely omitting an introduction. He blitzes through two verses, three choruses and a wailing guitar solo in only two minutes and three seconds. It sounds like a track from one of Mould's former bands, Sugar, with its pop sensibilities. He sings from the perspective of a cranky old man yelling at kids to get off of his yard. He sings in the chorus, "Kids don't follow," which may be a reference to fellow '80s Minneapolis punk rockers The Replacements. Listen to the track above.

You can preorder the album on iTunes.
