Angel Olsen's sophomore album, Burn Your Fire For No Witness, was released in February of this year to great acclaim. Four months later, the folk / indie-rock singer is still turning heads with the record. She made her network television debut on Late Show with David Letterman last night with a great performance of one of the album's singles, "Hi-Five."
The live take starts out a bit understated, but less than a minute in Olsen's totally on. Pain, power, and cool intimacy flow from her varied voice throughout the performance. The band follows her lead, as a heavily distorted guitar solo punctuates the emotional track.
