The Gorillaz have unveiled “Hollywood” from their upcoming album, The Now Now.  This is the fifth single to be issued in advance of the LP's June 29 release.  "Hollywood" is one of the few tracks off the new LP to feature collaborators, with legendary rapper Snoop Dogg and renowned electronic artist Jamie Principle providing their talents.

A danceable song with influence from hip-hop, house, and funk, this latest single offers slick synths supported by a powerful bassline.  Damon Albarn’s vocals are subdued, as each lyric he sings is executed clearly and gracefully.   Principle contributes to the party atmosphere of the track by adding tasteful melodies and hollers.   At around the halfway mark,  Snoop Dogg breaks into a laid-back, yet energetic rap that gives the number an edgier vibe.

The song's visualizer offers hypnotizing shots of the band while depicting the lyrics in blood-red letters.  Frontman 2-D, drenched in black and white lighting,  is shown singing directly to the viewer while sporting a sleek leather jacket.  Later on, Snoop is portrayed in a hologram while rapping against a backdrop of different locations in Hollywood with intense flashing lights.

The Now Now is set for release on June 29. You can order it on Amazon.
