New Jersey punk rockers, The Screaming Females, have released a ghoulish video of "Hopeless" off of their latest album Rose Mountain that came out earlier this week. Check it out above.
The video takes place at a creepy playground, filled with menacing plastic animals, tons of black images, and weird sketch doodles over their faces. Oh and how could a creepy ghoulish video be complete without dripping body parts? Lead guitarist and singer, Marissa Paternoster, discusses her inspiration for the song with the Boston Globe:
I thought my body was this weird entity beyond how I truly felt — it was separate from me, almost as if I was looking at it from the outside and it was another person who was being really cruel and manipulative... I spent so much time hanging out at home by myself that I could dedicate a lot of hours thinking about this abstraction.
The video is very interesting to say the least.
Rose Mountain is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
