"Hot Wax" - King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard [YouTube Official Music Video]

King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard shared a bizarre music video on YouTube for their song "Hot Wax" from their album Oddments. Watch it above.

The song begins with a grinding bass, a harmonica that sounds like a train, and numerous strange audio effects. The lyrics allude to The Beach Boys' "Surfin Safari" and cover lots of different places hot wax can go or has been.

The band's video is as visually eclectic as their sound. From the start of the clip, front-man Stu Mackenzie and drummer Eric Moore are engulfed by a psychedelic and face-melting galaxy. As it continues, the two encounter cartoon entities such as dissolving celestial hands and walking candles. This cartoon aesthetic is a direct reference to the album art for Oddments.

Oddments is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3), iTunes and can be streamed on Zumic.
