The first single of off Gauntlet Hair's forthcoming Stills (Out July 16th via Dead Oceans) is the heavy, dark wave-influenced track "Human Nature" and the band shared the equally dark video today. Seemingly innocuous images such as the band parting in their underpants with some cute ladies are intertwined with progressively darker ones of the Denver, CO based duo huffing what appears to be ether and wandering around Chicago in a daze with their hands covered in what looks an awful lot like blood.

I noticed that in the party scenes the girls are drinking from a bottle of Jim Beam... that clearly does not have brown liquor in it. Perhaps this was the motivation for the bloody hands? Don't steal my liquor and try to serve me tea, woman.
