Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein have shared a YouTube stream of their eighth studio album, titled I Am Alive In Everything I Touch. It was released through Rise Records and recorded with producer Jordan Valeriote. Band members on the album include Shane Told on lead vocals, Paul Marc Rousseau on lead guitar, Josh Bradford on rhythm guitar, Billy Hamilton on bass, and Paul Koehler on drums.
Lyricist and lead vocalist Shane Told wrote the concept album, which is divided into four chapters (three songs per chapter): "Borealis" (North), "Austeralis" (South), "Zephyrus" (West), and "Eurus" (East). Speaking with Noisey, Shane explained why this album had to be made:
All the city clips we recorded, the transitions, and making sure the concept really worked and told this story of loneliness despite being surrounded by so much excitement. As much as I've put myself out there over all the records we've done, there’s something more real about this one. At times I almost stopped myself and said, is this going too far? Am I going to say something I’m going to regret? And after taking a step back and a few breaks from writing, I decided I needed to do this.
