Savages have been leaving quite an impression on the music world lately. The four women have brought back post-punk almost single-handedly, and their palpable rage can be felt by anyone watching them, live or otherwise. This weekend, Savages played at the Pitchfork Music Festival 2013 in Chicago. In this video, you can see their performance of "I Am Here," which mixes Savages' trademark snarl with a low-end jungle beat and sparse guitar shrieks. Even on a beautiful sunny day in a park in Chicago, Savages can make everything seem darker.
Though singer Jehnny Beth's red high heels are somewhat out of place. But I'd never tell her that.
