Icona Pop was scheduled to start their North American tour tonight in Los Angeles, but unfortunately the pop duo will be forced to postpone it and the next 4 dates along the West Coast. According the the duo's official website, Aino Jawo is ill and has received doctor's orders to rest before continuing the tour. The August 29th - September 4th concerts in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and Portland have been postponed, with rescheduled dates to be announced shortly. The tour will resume as planned on September 6th in Salt Lake City.

Caroline Hjelt put up the following message on their official site:

We cannot tell you how sad we are and how much these shows meant to us. Our fans are so important to us and we live to perform on stage for you each night. We promise we'll be back and will see you soon! In the meantime, please send lots of love and good energy Aino's way!

The North American tour will run from September through October, and tickets can still be purchased Icona Pop's tour page.

During the tour, the duo is also set to release their debut international album, This Is... Icona Pop. The record will include singles like "All Night," "Girlfriend," and "I Love It," and is available for pre-order on iTunes. It will be released on September 24th via Big Beat Records.
