Bonnaroo 365 has released the first episode of the Rock & Soul SuperJam miniseries. The short documentaries focus on the SuperJam, which My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James spearheaded with John Oates of the famous soul duo Hall & Oates. The video includes their cover of the John Lennon classic "Instant Karma." Members of the Preservation Hall Jazz band and many other artists joined James and Oates onstage, and as you'd expect from such a stellar collection of musicians, their performance is top-notch. If you missed Bonnaroo this year, do yourself a favor and check out this impressive collaboration.

The video also explores how the SuperJam came together and its place within Bonnaroo as a whole. Both James and Oates had high praise for the event. James called it "an alternate universe" while Oates ranks the SuperJam with playing in London or Tokyo for the first time. "All of those things are ... defining moments," he said.
