The 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Live was celebrated on NBC with comedy from the show's legendary cast members going back decades, as well as musical performances. Above, watch Kanye West do a three-song medley including "Jesus Walks," "Only One," and his newest song, "Wolves," featuring Sia and Vic Mensa.
As we've come to expect from Kanye, he defies convention by beginning the performance laying on his back. He starts by rapping the first big hit of his solo career, "Jesus Walks," and then sings a couple of his newest songs. "Only One" is a sweet R&B tune that stands in stark contrast to Kanye's dark Yeezus material. Halfway through "Only One," the auto-tune goes out and Kanye's voice sounds pretty haggard -- not in a good way.
To close things out, he's joined by Sia and Vic Mensa for "Wolves" which is a darker tune, although not exactly hard edged. Sia's gotten a lot of attention for her extremely large wig, but we'll give her some attention for a really strong vocal performance.
