John Mellencamp has announced 2017 tour dates that are in conjunction with his upcoming album, Sad Clowns & Hillbillies. The opening acts on select dates will be Jewel, singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris, Carlene Carter (daughter of the late June Carter Cash), and/or folk sisters Lily & Madeleine. The shows are scheduled to begin on June 5 in Colorado and extend into September. Sad Clowns & Hillbillies is scheduled to be released on April 21, 2017 through Republic Records. Every ticket purchased online for the upcoming tour will include one physical copy of the LP.
