Minneapolis-based artist Lizzo has shared a catchy new song titled "Juice" along with a cleverly inspired music video. Watch it above on YouTube.
The upbeat track is a throwback to yesteryear, with a funky groove and production that snaps and crackles like a cassette tape that got played so much you need to tighten the spool with your fingernail every time you get to the end of each side. Lizzo's lyrics are playful and humorous as she blames Grey Goose vodka for her unstoppable swagger.
Directed by Quinn Wilson, the retro-inspired music video shows Lizzo appearing in a beauty product infomercial, an instructional workout program, a late night talk show, and on a couch with her man — or is that someone else's man?
At this time, there is no word if the song will be on an upcoming release. Her last full-length album was 2015’s Big GRRRL Small World. She has been fairly productive, though, putting out over 10 singles since then.
