In the music video for "Just Can't Win," we're treated to the classic boxing training / fighting montage featuring Boardwalk Empire actress Margo Bingham. The video was shot entirely in New York City at places like the Coney Island Boardwalk, Fight Factory in Brooklyn, and Jimmy’s Corner bar in Times Square.

"Just Can't Win" is the opening track from Fields' 2014 record Emma Jean, and pronounces the record as a bluesy and emotional affair. While the song is mainly a tale of heartbreak, at the end Lee throws in the line "you just might win" to give that essential bit of hope and inspiration. Ace backing band The Expressions provide flawless instrumental performances, with flourishes of funk and R&B over a rock solid and beautifully nuanced jazzy foundation. The fighting sequence in the video is along the classic Rocky films' arc line, as the protagonist fights through pain to grasp victory from the jaws of defeat.
