The first section includes the usual monologue and then "Thank You Notes" featuring The Roots laying down some good reggae for a joke about the Jamaican bobsled team. The Roots came through again for The History Of Rap, Pt. 5. Timberlake was sick, but came through with a great performance on that, and "Not A Bad Thing" with his band at the end of the show.
