Kanye West has put 3 concerts for his 2014 fall tour on hold due to equipment that was damaged in transit to Vancouver. The postponed concerts include Vancouver, Denver and Minneapolis.

The Fader has this statement from Kanye's Def Jam representative:

Yesterday, on the road to Vancouver, a truck carrying The Yeezus Tour’s custom-made video truss and 60-ft circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair. This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA. As a result of this event, it is impossible to put on the show and The Yeezus Tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be reengineered and refabricated. Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans. The Vancouver, Denver and Minneapolis dates have been postponed. Further details on the affected tour dates will be announced shortly.

This has been a problematic tour for West, as he had already rescheduled a couple dates to due problems setting up the stage show. The Vancouver date was one of those rescheduled shows, so now he's left his fans in that city disappointed twice.

Vancouver's The Province ran an article with fan reactions that were less than kind:

Longtime fan Michelle Swami called the second cancellation “upsetting,” especially following rumours that the rapper had staged an elaborate marriage proposal for girlfriend Kim Kardashian on Oct. 21, a day after the first cancelled Vancouver date.

“I feel like he’s messing around with us,” Swami said. “Not to mention, he’s cancelled a lot of shows on this tour and there’s talk of low ticket sales so it makes you wonder.”

“How inconsiderate! First he’s like ‘oh, you have Halloween plans, nah screw that noise, everything will cancel their plans for my concert’,” posted one person on Facebook. “And then after likely tons of people either cancelled Halloween plans or sold their tickets — he does it again!! WOOOW”

No word on when the concerts will be rescheduled. Stay tuned to Zumic for more information as we get it.
