There aren’t many bigger names than Katy Perry in the music industry right now. After garnering rave reviews from her Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show and appearing at the 2015 Grammy Awards, Katy Perry’s current European tour is one of the hottest tickets on the secondary ticket market.

With the NFL’s popularity growing overseas, it is reasonable to assume Katy Perry may have had the largest international audience for a Super Bowl halftime show ever. This assumption is supported from data provided by international ticket reseller Ticketbis. The average ticket price to a show on Katy Perry’s European tour from January 2013-January 2015 was $183.15. In February 2015, (after her Super Bowl performance on February 1st) the average ticket price jumped to $247.81, a 35.3% increase.

This is a true testament to how far the NFL’s growth has reached beyond America. The Super Bowl is a worldwide event, and its halftime performers are benefitting from the global visibility as well.

Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour has been her most successful tour to date. According to Pollstar, the tour was the fourth best selling in the world and the best selling by a solo female artist. The tour had the highest average gross revenue (by box office per city) of any led by a female in North America in 2014. She is currently on the fourth leg of the tour, which will take place in February and March throughout Europe. The fifth leg will take place in April and May throughout Asia.

According to Ticketbis, the European location with the highest asking price of Katy Perry tickets is on March 1st in Zurich, Switzerland from $207.14. However, with such high demand, there are fewer than 25 tickets remaining. For her concert dates in Asia, two shows in Tokyo at the Metropolitan Gymnasium on April 25-26 have less than 15 tickets combined, starting from $270.12. On the cheaper side, fans looking to go to Katy Perry’s show on March 4th in Antwerp, Belgium can get in the door for $72.53.

With visibility from the Super Bowl and a flawless performance, one of the most popular pop stars in the world is selling out show after show in Europe, and soon to be Asia. This is an accurate market indicator of the high demand her next tour in the United States will accrue.
