The new song from The NSJ Crew, entitled "Khaki Pants" shows that young kids can be just as talented, if not more so in some cases, than some of the bigger artists out there. Through the song, they seek to convey the idea that it's not the clothes you wear, but how you carry yourself in them. They've even created the Khaki Dance to go with the song, showing their khaki-colored pride. The NSJ Crew is part of an after school program in Minneapolis, Minnesota called Beats and Rhymes, which rewards kids who keep up with their homework by helping them make music. Beats and Rhymes was started by the Nellie Stone Johnson Community School, where The NSJ Crew is based, and the North Community YMCA, which is home to their partner group, Y.N.RichKids.
