Earlier this week, Kid Rock spoke with CNN's Piers Morgan about his $20 Best Night Ever Summer Tour. He makes some great points about the price of going to an entertainment event these days. Check it out:
Kid Rock explains that it was his idea because he believes in offering entertainment at a fair price.
When asked how much money he could be losing per night, because he is offering such low prices for tickets, beers, and hot dogs, Kid Rock says, "It could be from $50,000 to $100,000 a night. But if we do the numbers, it's not gonna be that much... But if 500,000 people show up every night, it's gonna be a long night."
Piers Morgan asks Rock about the "Legends of Summer" Tour featuring Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake, where non-VIP tickets are going for over $200 apiece. Rock called that "Garbage".
He also said that he'll be scalping tickets himself, which may or may not be illegal. Kid Rock also shouted out his sponsors Jimmy Johns, Jim Beam, and Harley Davidson, and opening acts Kool and the Gang, ZZ Top, and Uncle Cracker.
