Last time I checked, New York City is run by the recently elected Mayor Bill De Blasio. Apparently not. On Wednesday night at The Converse Rubber Tracks show, Atlanta-born rapper Trinidad Jame$ proclaimed that the South now runs New York City. He rants, "Us in the South, us 'bammas, we just did our own thing. But now we run y'all, musically." Thank God he made it out of NYC alive.

Regardless of who's actually running New York City, Jame$ had no choice but to put out "L.I.A.A.R.$.," a fresh track that's a backronym for Lame$ i$ Always Acting Real...$sure, according to his Twitter feed today. The song is a pretty standard Southern rap banger that features Mr. "All Gold Everything" answering his own rhetorical questions: "So I'm crazy? Yes I am / Give a fuck? No I don't." See the video below to judge for yourself.
