Lady Gaga is still on top of the world. The "Queen Monster" was the top musician on Forbes' list of the 100 most powerful celebrities, as well as in second place overall, finishing only after Oprah Winfrey, who retains her god-like status even without her show.
The list takes several factors into account to determine the rankings. They measure annual earnings, social networking presence, how often they are mentioned in the media, and overall marketability (read more at Forbes for more details).
Gaga earned a staggering $80 million this year despite cutting her tour short due to a hip injury. She also commands an army of 38 million Twitter followers and 58 million Facebook fans. This combination put her on top of the other musicians featured in the top 100 list.
