Known for her dramatic music videos featuring celebrated co-stars including actress Jamie King ("Summertime Sadness"), rapper A$ap Rocky ("National Anthem"), and model Bradley Soileau ("Born To Die"), Lana Del Rey's new short film Tropico will feature the world's first Albino model, Shaun Ross.
Shaun Ross danced in Beyonce's music video for "Party" and also appeared in Katy Perry's video for "E.T," as her extraterrestrial lover. Could he appear as the Adam to Lana's Eve in Tropico? It appears so, as pictures from the music video shoot have surfaced at Lana Del Rey Phillipines facebook page.
The film is directed by Anthony Mandler, produced by Rick Rubin alongside Dan Heath, Tim Larcombe, and Rick Nowels, with photography provided by Lana's sister Chuck Grant. Tropico will feature three of Lana's songs from Born To Die - Paradise Edition. According to the poster, the film is "a tale of redemption told to the music of "Body Electric," "Gods And Monsters," and "Belair.""
Lana Del Rey and company have yet to reveal the 30-minute film's release date.
