Lauryn Hill is out of prison and ready to get down to business. With her house arrest postponed until January 1, she's scheduled a six-date "Homecoming" tour.
Performing as Ms. Lauryn Hill, she will hit the stage in New York, New Jersey, Boston, and Washington D.C. bringing what her website calls "high energy and consciousness charged sound." It kicks off next week with an early and late show at New York City's Bowery Ballroom. This will be her first multiple city tour since the Fall 2012 "Life is Good / Black Rage" tour with Nas.
She has already confirmed that there was new music in the works before her IRS problems. Last month, just before being released, the song "Consumerism" was posted to her SoundCloud account. Before that she posted "Neurotic Society," which has since been removed. It is possible that her three month house arrest could result in a follow up to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Keep your fingers crossed.
Tickets for the upcoming performances are available on Ticketmaster.
