Shrouded in secrecy for decades, Led Zeppelin's studio outtakes and unfinished songs are finally available to the public. Since most Led Zeppelin fans have already heard the first 3 albums many times over, as well as live bootleg recordings from 1969, we've put the studio outtakes into a Spotifiy playlist. Listen above.

The tracks offer insight to the band's creative process, and a different sonic perspective on some of the greatest songs written and performed in the classic rock era - and some material that's never seen the light of day with this type of fidelity.

Some of the most fascinating gems include cuts from the III bonus disc. "Immigrant Song" gets a vastly different version, which is very different from the album version in terms of sound as well as arrangement. Other cuts include songs with working titles like "Bathroom Sound" (aka "Out On The Tiles") and "Jennings Farm Blues" (aka "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp") that are arguably superior to the versions that ended up on the finished III album. Another highlight is the II instrumental outtake "La La" that foreshadowed the directions that Jimmy Page would go on later albums, while clearly drawing from his "Beck's Bolero" (pre-Led Zeppelin) guitar wizardry.

For people who can't get enough of John Bonham and John Paul Jones, among the greatest drum and bass 1-2 punches in rock history, these studio outtakes offer another look at their incredible talents and chemistry. Bonham has immense force. John Paul Jones is flawless as a bassist and keyboardist. Robert Plant may be highlighted less than any other band member, with the exception of the final track on the III bonus disc; the blues jam on "Key To The Highway" and "Trouble In Mind" where he blows harp and sings his own unique flavor of fiery country blues.
