Little Dragon have just shared "Let Go," the third song we've heard so far from their upcoming album, Nabuma Rubberband. Preceded by "Paris" and "Klapp Klapp," "Let Go" is now available to stream above, courtesy of SoundCloud. Check out the song's lyrics below.
Though still very much within Little Dragon's synth-pop comfort zone, "Let Go" is much slower and more melancholic than the other track's we've heard from Nabuma Rubberband. Frontwoman Yukimi Nagano equates a breakup to a rainstorm, singing about "Feeling thunder and pain," and giving us a little break from the happy-go-lucky optimism that seems to run through "Paris" and "Klapp Klapp."
Stream "Paris" right here on Zumic, and view the lyrics to "Let Go" below.
Little Dragon "Let Go" lyrics:
You disappeared all of a sudden
But where?
I’ve forgotten to check
To follow the hum and the rain
To follow the drummer
We lie
So in love
But this love is not for everyone
And I’m just draggin’ along
Don’t want it ever to stop[Pre-hook:]
Daylight spring ‘em up along
I did and my work began to go, oh
And if I ever did you wrong
It’s rain on[Hook:]
Let go of everything I know
I know you’re catchin’ up soon
Sweet nights with you
Let go so the rain may yawn
We’re spoiled and break on here, on hereDo you feel so immortal?
So real?
Pushing under the rain
Feeling thunder and pain
Oh, I’ve forgotten to follow the drum
I’m laying here falling in love
Draggin’ along
Don’t want it ever to stop[Pre-Hook]
[Hook]
[Bridge:]
On here, on here
On here, on here[Hook]
