Angel Olsen released her impressive sophomore album, Burn Your Fire for No Witness, back in February. She's been relatively quiet since then, but yesterday, Pitchfork shared a very cool video of Olsen and her band performing "Lights Out" as part of their "City Of Music" series. Watch it above.
Playing the country-tinged song amid varying lighting and some trippy effects, Olsen shines, both literally and figuratively. Her voice is a truly unique instrument, and it might even sound better here than it does on record. This "City Of Music" series seems to consistently extract great performances from its guests, thanks in part to customized stage set-ups and superb audio recording.
