Damon Albarn documents his world travels in the video for the newly released "Lonely Press Play," a track slated to be on his upcoming ablum, Everyday Robots.

The song's backbeat is a pulsating collage of electronically-arranged organic sounds, with simple, wistful piano and vocal melodies. The accompanying video, shot by Albarn himself, is a similar piece, seeing the first-person perspective of various locations around the globe. He sees rainy days, robots, and more than a few airports, all while managing to convey the loneliness expressed in the song. Watch the clip above.

From the YouTube description:

The footage in the video is shot by Damon on a tablet and you'll see scenes from Tokyo, London, Dallas, Utah, Colchester, North Korea, Iceland and Devon.

Damon Albarn "Lonely Press Play" lyrics:

Arrhythmia, accepting that you live with uncertainty
If you're lonely, press play
Die lady die
The aspects that you pass on while traveling,
When you're lonely, press play

Cause you're not resolved
In your heart, you're waiting for me
To improve
Right here
When I'm lonely, I press play

Swimming in blue
After New Year
Into the mirror she flew
When I'm lonely, I press play

Can I get any closer?
What any token, I'll bring to you
When I'm lonely, I press play

Cause you're not resolved
In your heart, you're waiting for me
To improve
Right here
When I'm lonely, I press play

Arrhythmia, accepting that you live
With uncertainty
If you're lonely, press play
Can I get any closer?
What any token, I'll bring to you
When I'm lonely, I press play
Cause you're not resolved
In your heart you're waiting for me!
