"The Long Way Home" - Rosanne Cash & John Leventhal

Rosanne Cash appeared on CBS' Sunday Morning for a performance of "The Long Way Home," a track from her new record, The River & The Thread. Joined by her husband on guitar, she belted out the soulful song in the Possum Hill-directed video. You can watch above.

Cash also went on a short road trip with CBS' Anthony Mason, traveling through Arkansas and Tennessee to visit some of the places that inspired the new record. Their first stop was her father's boyhood home, a recently restored house on a large plot of farmland. She talks about Johnny Cash's experiences as a boy: his 2 mile walk to school, his bedroom shared with 3 other siblings, his bathroom that never had plumbing installed. Mason and Cash visit the Tallahatchie bridge, made famous by the classic "Ode To Billy Joe," where they recreate the photo on the album cover. Throughout the video, Cash talks about the history throughout the South that inspired her record, and gives an insightful look into her family's incredible history. Watch below.
