Ever since Violent Femmes got together for a few festival performances in 2013, fans have been patiently awaiting new music. Recently the band treated listeners to a new ditty titled "Love Love Love Love Love," the band's first new music since 2000's Freak Magnet.
Recorded in Australia, the track is a catchy tune complete with latin flavor and saxophone accents. It is quite different from the band's previous efforts, but the quirkiness is still there. Singer Gordon Gano sings about love with a sense of skepticism before ultimately admitting he wants to feel it all around him. Violent Femmes have a new EP due out this year, but there is no word on a release date or title just yet.
