Since starting as a bunch of teenagers playing music together in the summer of 1964, Lynyrd Skynyrd have created some of the most beloved and emotional music ever made. Last year, the band announced they would be calling it quits after the Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour, and this week they added additional 2020 dates to their schedule.

The band will ring in 2020 with The Allman Betts Band and Asleep At The Wheel in Dallas, Texas. The newly announced concerts are scheduled to run from March through July, with opening acts Travis Tritt, The Marshall Tucker Band, or Eli Young Band on select dates. Every ticket purchased includes a copy of Skynyrd's new live album. See local listings for the lineup and ticket info.

Original member Gary Rossington left a comment about the impact of their music on the band's website:

It's hard to imagine, after all these years, the band that Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins and myself started back in Jacksonville, would resonate for this long and to so many generations of fans. I’m certain they are looking down from above, amazed that the music has touched so many.
