Last night, the Tedeschi Trucks Band hit Conan O'Brien for a spirited performance of their song "Made Up Mind" from their most recent album of the same name.
As part of the Allman Brothers Band, Derek Trucks has a reputation as one of the best slide guitar players on the planet and he doesn't disappoint here. Not only does he play two really nice lead sections in a tidy 4+ minutes, but he also plays fantastic rhythm supporting his wife Susan Tedeschi who belts out the soulful rocking tune with authority. They may not get as much publicity as Beyonce and Jay Z, but the Tedeschi Trucks "power couple" sure can play some good music from the heart.
There's 11 people on stage here, including 2 drummers. Amazing how tight the band is. Is it just me, or is Derek Trucks starting to look like Gregg Allman?
