What do you get when you combine Nick Offerman, 1970s German television, and The Decemberists? Director Bill Fishman asked this very same question and the result is amazing.

Today, The Decemberists have shared the official music video for their single "Make You Better" which will be featured on their album What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World. Watch the YouTube video above.

The clip begins with Offerman interviewing Colin Meloy with a series of offbeat questions such as, "What do you feel is ze meaning of existence?" The band then begins to play while struggling with the faulty quality of the studio. As this happens, Offerman's character becomes infatuated with his production assistant. He makes a bunch of funny faces as he tries to pursue her, The Decemberists jam out, and we're all left satisfied.

Pre-order What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.
