Sexual Healing, Julien Temple's Marvin Gaye biopic, has been in the works for several years, but we finally have a glimpse into the finished project. If it ever gets finished, that is.
Production on the film was suspended in June due to scheduling, location, and financial hold ups, according to Screen Daily. Now, though, it looks as though the film is still going forward. Check out the trailer above.
The trailer surfaced initially through an unauthorized YouTube user, and has since been re-posted and pulled from YouTube, but it appears to come straight from Arrow Entertainment.
Although this glimpse offers hope that the film will see the light of day, release dates are still entirely up in the air.
From The Smoking Section:
[Sexual] Healing’s original release date was set to be April 1, 2014 – the 30th anniversary of Marvin’s death. At last check, only 70% of the film was completed after proceedings were put on ice with only three weeks left to shoot.
Stay tuned at Zumic for more details as they emerge. We're just going to watch the trailer on repeat until the film comes out.
