English rockers Muse have shared a third track from their upcoming album, Drones. Watch the lyric video for "Mercy" above via the band's YouTube.
In the YouTube description, singer Matt Bellamy explains the track's opening line:
The opening line of "Mercy" - "Help me I've fallen on the inside"- is a reference to the protagonist knowing and recognizing that they have lost something, they have lost themselves. This is where they realize they’re being overcome by the dark forces that were introduced in "Psycho."
"Mercy" is a thunderous song with keyboard notes holding the foundation for arena sized drumming and swelling distorted guitar riffs. Matt Bellamy's vocals soar with emotion while subtle synth effects fill in the background. It's another strong track that undoubtedly has fans excited to hear the new album when it arrives.

Drones will be released on June 9th. Pre-order the album on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
