Basement Jaxx have been laying low, not producing massive international dance hits like "Romeo," "Where's Your Head At," and "Good Luck" for half a decade now. So I'm very excited for the hit potential of "Mermaid Of Salinas," their first single off the upcoming What A Difference Your Love Makes due for release 09/30 by 37 Adventures. Listening to the strums of the Spanish guitar, an invigorating brass section, and rhythmic clapping, the track is reminiscent of classic Gypsy Kings as well as flamenco ibicenco-style full of House beats to dance to. I could easily cruise around the White Isle of Ibiza listening to "Mermaid Of Salinas".
