Metallica's WorldWired Tour is the tour that keeps on giving.
The rock heavyweights released the album Hardwired... to Self-Destruct in 2016, and in the three years since they have done 13 legs totalling over 150 concerts. This week, they added another round of tour dates for South America, taking place in 2020 with opening band Greta Van Fleet.
The newly announced concerts are scheduled in April, with six performances lined up. The last time Metallica played the continent was in 2017. Also of note, the band are scheduled to visit Belo Horizonte and Curitiba for the first time ever. Metallica is currently on tour in Europe with Ghost and will visit Australia and New Zealand in October with Slipknot. The metal legends also have two special hometown performances with the San Francisco Symphony in September.

The general public on-sale begins as early as August 22 at 10 am local time. Presales for fan club members begins August 19 at 10 am local time. Once again, Metallica is teaming up with CID Entertainment to offer fans special perks such as premium tickets, early access to the venue, meet and greets, and more.
