Metallica and Slipknot — two generations of iconic heavy metal bands — will be touring together in Australia and New Zealand in 2019. At this time, five Australian shows and one New Zealand show are scheduled for October.
Before taking on the other side of the globe together, each group will be hitting the road hard. Metallica is currently winding down a North American leg of shows before heading to Europe in May. Earlier this week, Slipknot announced a "Knotfest Roadshow" summer tour.

When do Metallica & Slipknot 2019 tour tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?
Tickets for their previously announced shows are now on sale. For the new dates, the general public on-sale begins as early as March 18 at 2pm local time. Presales for fan club members and VIP packages begin on March 12 at 1pm local time. American Express cardmembers, Live Nation and LN Mobile App presales will follow.
American Express cardmembers can use the password INGOLD, but you will need an AmEx card to complete your purchase. The Live Nation / Ticketmaster presale password is MASHUP and the LN Mobile App code is COVERT. Keep in mind, each date is different and details are subject to change. Click through the individual concert links for more information about the show you're interested in.
Fun fact: At the 2004 Download Festival, Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison filled in for Lars Ulrich during Metallica's set. Lars was unable to perform due to an illness.
We recommend following Metallica on social media and signing up for their free email newsletter (bottom of page), in addition to connecting with your local venue, to get the most up-to-date information.
If you haven't done so already, pick up Hardwired...To Self-Destruct on Amazon. You can also stream the full album for free and read our review here on Zumic.
