The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger will be releasing their latest album, Midnight Sun, on April 29th. You can listen to the full album stream via the Spotify player above.
The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger or The GOASTT is composed of Sean Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and his girlfriend, Charlotte Kemp Muhl. The two have been creating music together since 2008 and this will be their fourth album. Midnight Sun could definitely serve as a proper soundtrack for the upcoming summer season with its upbeat and melodic songs and psychedelic lyrics.
"Xanadu" favors The Beatles' classic "Within you Without You" where as "Animals" has a more modern, alternative rock feel. "Too Deep" is very '70s and "Johannesburg" is a folksy duet between Lennon and Kemp Muhl. The remaining tracks exemplify Sean Lennon's ability to remain his own artist while still honoring his father's musical legacy. Sean is certainly no carbon copy of his famous Beatles dad but he does share the same musical capabilities. Midnight Sun just might be the album for Beatles and folk music fans in search of new and exciting music to enjoy.
