R&B singer Miguel, known for his interesting stage shows (including this one, where he simulates having sex while on stage), performed his song "Adorn" at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday. Though it will certainly be the most talked-about performance of the show, it wasn't because of the music. Rather, it will be known for Miguel's attempt to leap over the fans to another part of the stage. Instead of landing gracefully, Miguel kicked one fan in the face (with rather large-heeled boots) and landed on another's neck, bringing the back of her head down onto the stage.
He managed to continue singing rather fluidly, despite having just assaulted two women. Luckily, both women made it through the night without serious injuries. Khyati, whom he landed on, was seen backstage with him and an icepack, but no lasting damage seems to have of occurred. Perhaps he will think twice before attempting this feat again, but if he does, hopefully he will practice it beforehand.
This was, unfortunately, only the second most painful thing that happened at the Billboard Music Awards. The first, of course, being Justin Bieber's pleas to the crowd to treat him like a real artist. Most would rather be kicked in the face by Miguel.
