While in Seattle for their first show ever, Minor Alps dropped by KEXP for their radio debut. The duo consists of Nada Surf's Matthew Caws and singer-songwriter Juliana Hatfield, and their gentle acoustic styles blend seamlessly together. The band played through four songs, "I Don't Know What to do With My Hands," "Maxon," "If I Wanted Trouble," and "Far from the Roses," all from their first record, Get There.
Between songs, Caws and Hatfield answered interview questions about the project, detailing how they began collaborating, their songwriting process, the recording processes, and the "mini-mountain" that inspired their name. Check out the video above.
Get There was released October 29th, 2013 on Barsuk Records. You can stream the entire record right here on Zumic. For more music, news, and videos from Minor Alps, check out their Zumic artist page.
