Justin Timberlake is pushing the boundaries of what a pop music video can be with "Mirrors", the 2nd single from The 20/20 Experience. The singing is clearly rooted in his early days as a crooner in the Backstreet Boys, but the 8+ minute song also shows an influence from Michael Jackson in terms of singing style as well as the grandiosity of the songwriting. Timbaland's production brings to mind songs like The Beatles' "I Am The Walrus" without veering too far away from his last album with J.T. FutureSex. The music video? I just read on Reddit that his grandfather passed away last year and the old person love story is a tribute to his grandparents.
