Moby Announces Next Album "Innocents"

Per Moby ritual, the official announcement of the album Innocents was made via Youtube today. Moby - well, assuming it's him - wears a bear mask as he jumps into a pool, bubbles forming and rolling through the cut-out eyeholes of the mask. Meanwhile Moby's recorded voice let's us know that the release of Innocents will be early October 2013. It will be followed by a three-show tour in Los Angeles exclusively.

Breaking Moby habit, Innocents is mostly collaborations with top producers and artists. Co-producing the album with Moby is Mark Stent, known for work he's done with Muse, Bjork, and Massive Attack. "Working with all of these collaborators has helped me to make a record that I'm very proud of, and working this way also gave me some semblance of a social life," Moby shared with all of us on his website.

"A Case for Shame" is the first official single released off the album, but watch below to see Moby's collaboration with Mark Lanegan of Queens Of The Stone Age and Screaming Trees in their song together "Lonely Nights", released in April.
