Per Moby ritual, the official announcement of the album Innocents was made via Youtube today. Moby - well, assuming it's him - wears a bear mask as he jumps into a pool, bubbles forming and rolling through the cut-out eyeholes of the mask. Meanwhile Moby's recorded voice let's us know that the release of Innocents will be early October 2013. It will be followed by a three-show tour in Los Angeles exclusively.
Breaking Moby habit, Innocents is mostly collaborations with top producers and artists. Co-producing the album with Moby is Mark Stent, known for work he's done with Muse, Bjork, and Massive Attack. "Working with all of these collaborators has helped me to make a record that I'm very proud of, and working this way also gave me some semblance of a social life," Moby shared with all of us on his website.
