"Monster Love" - Soko ft Ariel Pink [Official Music Video]

Soko, the French actress and indie rocker, has released a short film for her song "Monster Love" with Ariel Pink. The video follows a monster, complete with wig, protruding teeth, and fuzzy monster sweater, on his quest for love. Think Edward Scissorhands but with less hedges. The monster is, at first, in love with a beautiful mermaid. But, when he goes to confess his love, the mermaid cannot accept such a terrifying creature. The monster is distraught. There's more, but I won't ruin the ending.

A simple tale of looking for love in the wrong places to the soundtrack of Soko and Pink's soulful talk-singing, whispery duet, this video is sweet, quirky and very Soko-esque. Which makes sense since she directed the film herself. Get your monster lovin above.
