Karen O, Spike Jonze, and KK Barrett recently performed an acoustic version of "The Moon Song" together for Morning Becomes Eclectic on KCRW. The song is featured in Spike Jonze's latest film Her starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, and Scarlett Johansson.

A folksy piece, "The Moon Song" differs dramatically from Karen O's music with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs but still manages to capture the soulfulness of the indie-rock singer's voice. The original rendition of the song is performed in the film by Joaquin Pheonix and Scarlett Johansson and is nominated for an Academy Award for best original song.

Karen O is scheduled to perform the tune at this year's Academy awards on March 2nd. You can listen to the version featuring Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend here at Zumic. More information regarding Karen O and her band The Yeah Yeah Yeahs can be found on the band's Zumic Artist Page.
