"Mountain Twerker" - The Darrell Brothers [YouTube Official Video]

Bluegrass and twerking logically shouldn't go together. I mean... c'mon.

But that's what we've got here in the "Mountain Twerker" music video, released by Tennessee's The Darrell Brothers earlier this month. The refrain is "Granny was the world's first mountain twerker" as we see a fat old woman attempting to twerk and doing a pretty awful job. There's some Miley Cyrus spoof action happening with the tongue, the ass grinding, and most obviously the attempt at booty shaking that fails miserably. Perhaps this is what Ms. Cyrus will look like in 40 years?

The song is a spazmatic bluegrass special with some fast playing and slick mandolin, banjo, fiddle, guitar, and washboard parts. There are a few parts of the video that look like an authentic bluegrass video with people sitting around a farm doing more respectful dancing like the Do-Si-Do, but it's obvious that the twerkin' granny is the star.
