The ever-experimental Califone have just released a music video for "Movie Music Kills a Kiss," a track off their most recent record, Stitches. The video is a quietly dramatic short film, which follows the melancholy mood of the song. Synthesizers back an acoustic slide guitar and subdued vocals, as the slow-motion firecrackers explode in front of a smashed guitar. The video provides an interesting contrast to the tune, but the tone remains the same throughout. Check it out above.
Stitches is out now via Dead Oceans. You can purchase it through iTunes.
