In 1974, a cult leader named Space Angel brought The Space Children of the Forest out into the woods to search for their new savior. This is their story.
J Mascis teamed up with Fred Armisen and Funny or Die to produce a star-studded music video for "Every Morning," a track from his brand new album, Tied to a Star. In it, Mascis appears as Space Angel, James Mercer and The Dandy Warhols' Peter Holmström appear as cult members, and Fred Armisen appears as the shadowy figure looking to expose the religious leader's fraudulent ways. Unsurprisingly, the Danny Jelinek-directed clip is totally hilarious, but hanging out while Mascis plays guitar all day doesn't really seem like a bad scene. I'd join up with this cult any day. Too bad the birth of our new savior from a chicken's egg is "scientifically unfounded." Watch the video above.
