Yesterday, Long Beach rapper Vince Staples released the video to his song "Fire" off his debut EP, Hell Can Wait. The original release date for the project was September 23rd, but was pushed back due to sample clearances, and released on October 7th.

There's no hiding the dark nature of this song. It definitely falls into the horrorcore sub-genre of hip hop due to its dark lyrics and eerie, abrasive production. In the video, he speaks to a priest in a church confessional and admits that hell is upon him due to all the wrong he has done in his life. He raps, "Believe that, we was thuggin' on the back street / Catchin' cases, probably finna go to Hell anyway." Clearly, repenting is out of the question for the 21-year-old rapper.
