On December 5th, Wu-Tang Clan released the protest-inspired video for their song "A Better Tomorrow." The group decided to flex their political muscles and voice their opinions over the Harold Melvin's 1975 hit, "Wake Up Everbody."

In recent months, the murders of African-American men at the hands of police officers occurred at an alarming rate. Specifically, the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner sparked protests and riots all over the country. The video does not feature the group at all. It captures the many protests that occurred in New York City and Ferguson, MO as well as a speech from President Obama at the Tribal Nations Conference regarding the grand jury's decision not to indict the officer who killed Eric Garner. Wu-Tang's inspirational lyrics about social injustice and police brutality and perfectly coincided with the moving visuals as they promote unity and a desperate change for change. Watch above and feel inspired.

A Better Tomorrow is now available for purchase on Amazon (CD, MP3) and iTunes. You can also listen on Spotify and read our review right here on Zumic.
