"Mt. Olympus" - Big K.R.I.T. [YouTube Official Music Video + Lyrics]

Soulful rapper Big K.R.I.T responded to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse and the critics with his fiery, aggressive single "Mt. Olympus." The song and the music video were among our favorites of 2014.

K.R.I.T wrote "Mt Olympus" the day after Big Sean's single "Control" leaked. "Control" features a now famous verse from Kendrick Lamar in which he calls out 11 rappers, Big K.R.I.T included. Over the dramatic, orchestral, DJ Dahi-produced beat, the Mississippi rapper fired back with an intensity his fans have never seen. He raps:

All this attention, I don't even know what I might even do with it
That "Control" beat is like an ugly bitch that everybody done fucked raw
Maybe you hit it
Aww man, I'm more concerned why niggas been textin' my cell, callin' my phone
Ask me about this Kendrick shit, that he ain't even really even diss me on

Now I'm lyrical all of the sudden

The video features K.R.I.T. actively rapping in front of a white backdrop that highlights his animated shadow. He ends his last verse with the line, "Fuck a Control."
